ISO 9001:2008 Certified Translation
The purpose, content, and focus of the Baldrige Criteria for Performance Excellence and ISO 9001:2008 registration are very different. The Baldrige Criteria provides an integrated, results-oriented framework for designing, implementing, and assessing all operations of an organization. In addition, the Baldrige Criteria includes a strong customer, workforce, and future focus.
ISO 9001:2008 Standards in Translation Industry
ISO 9001:2008 is a standard used in implementing a compliance and improvement system and assessing conformity in organization-selected operations. It’s a tool in our Quality toolbox and we are diligent about compliance to the standard. We are also the only ISO 9001:2008 Certified Translation firm in St. Louis.
In today’s competitive marketplace however, organizations need to go beyond ISO 9001:2008. The Baldrige Criteria focus is on competitiveness—specifically the delivery of ever-improving value to customers, the improvement of overall organizational effectiveness and capabilities, and organizational and personal learning.
Therefore, we implement both Quality initiatives into our business. By the way, if we say the word “process” too many times, you’ll understand!
So what is the benefit of this to you, the customer?
- Standardized processes (reduces waste, impacts quality, impacts efficiency and costs)
- Standard requirements and adherence to those requirements on the selection of translators, writers, editors, etc.
- Process management expertise – all of our project managers follow our own process management scorecard that we developed for clients so we know quickly where problems may arise and what the solutions may be for you
- A culture of continuous improvement. Your expectations will change. Your needs will change as you progress through the stages of global communication maturity (localization maturity). You need us to be agile, constantly improving, constantly attuned to your needs.
